Here are some suggestions for tours we have planned. You can also create your own bespoke trip to suit your needs.


Duration: 3 Days


Best time to enjoy: All year round

 

Day 1: Collect you and all members of your party from the Airport and take you to the VIPP Apartments in the Centre of Reykjavík.


Day 2: Collect you and all members of your party from the VIPP Apartments for a day trip taking in the sights of Geysir, Gullfoss and Kerid.


Day 3: Collect you and all members of your party from the VIPP Apartments for a trip around Reykjavík City Centre and then drop you off back at the airport, in time for your flight home.


Guide Prices:

All Inclusive, up to 2-6 people £350 per person per day.

All inclusive, up to 6-8 people £260 per person per day.

Choices:  

Option 1: Collect you and all members of your party from the Airport and stay at the VIPP Apartments in the Centre of Reykjavík.  


This option includes hiring an 8 seater Dodge Durango (2006). This ‘go anywhere’ vehicle comfortably seats up to 8 people, has automatic transmission, AWD and ABS Brakes.

Option 2: Collect you and all members of your party from the Airport and stay at the Summerhouse in a countryside setting on a small resort.  This property sleeps up to 8 people, including all the facilities you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.  There is a hot tub on the decking area outside as well.  


Other facilities on site include a swimming pool, 9-hole golf course, lounge bar with games room.

Collect you and all members of your party from the Airport and embark upon a journey North to see the whales and waterfalls and the great nature of the island with the midnight sun during the summertime.


One of the most interesting parts of Iceland is the North, staying at Brunastadir in Skagafjördur and from there the trip to island of Hrísey.  Here you will experience true peace and tranquility.


Take a tractor up to the north of the island of Hrísey to the island's lighthouse and a walk out to the northern tip of the island.  Just 1° South of the Arctic Circle!


This trip includes accommodation and breakfast for the duration of your stay.  You will also be accompanied by a guide throughout your stay.

Art and Culture tour in Iceland

 

Join us for a seven-day cultural and contemporary art tour around Iceland. You will be traveling with a small group, of up to eight people. The journey begins in Reykjavik, where you will be introduced to one of the most northern Capitals in Europe. During your stay in Reykjavík you'll visit the main Museums, art galleries and concert venues and visit an artist studio.

 

Here are some of the places we will visit:

The trip to the countryside starts on the second day. We´ll explore fishing villages around the island, which host both local and international art exhibitions and events during summer. Choose from two different tours:

 

Choice 1: A round trip, via the south east coast to the north. Enjoy nature, short walks, horse-riding and fishing. We will be visiting the following places:

Southeast – Reykjavík - Þingvellir – Hveragerði – Vík – Djúpivogur – Seyðisfjörður

North – Eyjafjörður (Hrísey and Akureyri) – Siglufjörður – Skagafjörður – Reykjavík

In the surrounding countryside:

 

Choice 2: A round trip - via the western coast to the north. Enjoy nature, short walks, horse-riding and fishing. We will be visiting the following places:

West – Reykjavík – Snæfellsnes – Reykhólasveit & Dalabyggð - Hólmavík

North – Hólmavík - Skagafjörður – Siglufjörður – Eyjafjörður (Hrísey & Akureyri)

About the guide:

Artist, teacher and curator Inga Þórey Jóhannsdóttir has lived in Holland and Scotland and speaks both English and Dutch fluently. She studied Visual Art at the Icelandic College of Art and Crafts and graduated in 1988 from the mixed media department. After that she studied at the Hoochschule fur Angewandte Kunst in Vienna for one year. In 2004 she completed her teacher's diploma from the Iceland Academy of the Arts.

In 2005 she cofounded Suðsuðvestur a non-profit art gallery outside of Reykjavik and worked as manager and curator until 2012.

During the wintertime Inga works at the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts as head of the foundation department
